Cheap Car Rims

When it comes to buying cheap car rims there are so many more variables than when buying tires that it can make it hard to find the difference between cheap car rims (as in price) and cheap rims (as in quality.) Those variables are things like rims size, the kind of car you have, the desired performance of the rim, the color scheme you want, the driving conditions in your area, the list literally goes on and on. There are a few fundamentals you can use to determine whether or not a set of car rims are going to be the best fit for your vehicle.
First determine the function the car rims will have? Are they just to look good on the car? Do you want them to be more performance driven? Are you just looking for a small up-grade over the stock rim? Each of these functions will have a different price range. Performance rims that are designed to add to the driving experience are going to have a higher price line, usually between $150 and $300 per car rim. If you are just looking for some car rims for sale to increase the over all look of the vehicle the range is pretty wide open – you just want to look for quality and we will discuss that in a moment.
What are the quality differences between cheap car rims? Car rims are made from a few materials, steel, aluminum and chrome. Steel rims are the most common because they are the cheapest, but they look pretty bad which is why many people put plastic hubcaps on them to cover them up. Aluminum are the most popular because the metal is high grade but is a little easier on the wallet making it easier to produce more car rims for sale aftermarket. Finally chrome rims are the most expensive and they are aluminum based with chrome plating to give the rim an impressive shine.
The danger in getting car rims that are too cheap rims is that the metal is coated in some other metal making it difficult to see what your rim is really made of. The problem is you may get some super cheap metal composite that is plated in something that looks nice and as soon as you nub a curb or take a corner too fast the rim begins to bend which will damage your now used tires which can make for some super costly repairs down the road.
